• Exhibit your recruitment expertise by devising optimal sourcing strategies, managing job postings, and guiding candidates through the hiring process


• Lead student engagement initiatives, including creating captivating internship opportunities


• Take Smithville's message to job fairs and recruiting events while nurturing relationships with talent agencies


• Expertly manage leave of absence cases, collaborating with third-party vendors


• Be the go-to for employees seeking assistance, directing them to the right resources


• Safeguard confidentiality and maintain the integrity of employee data


• Champion compliance with employment laws and recommend best practices


• Identify workflow enhancements and spearhead change to ensure seamless operations


• Provide backup and support, ensuring our HR team's success


• Embrace ambiguity, adapt to change, and exhibit your exceptional problem-solving skills

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in an HR generalist role


• A bachelor's degree in business administration, organizational behavior, human resources, or labor relations (Preferred)


• A flair for handling sensitive information while upholding airtight confidentiality


• A knack for balancing employee needs with business priorities


• Preferred HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) or the willingness to obtain it within 12 months


• The ability to transform research into actionable recommendations


• Meticulous attention to detail, process-driven thinking, and a customer-centric mindset


• Stellar written and verbal communication skills


• Proficiency in employment law and an understanding of its nuances


• A natural team player with top-tier interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across departments


• Adeptness with HRIS systems (bonus points for ADP expertise) and Microsoft Office Suite


• A proactive self-starter who thrives on initiative and resourcefulness
